What is The Nocti?

A Nocti is a different type of gamer and a different type of person. We are not Nocti by association, by guild membership or even by choice. We are Nocti by birth....by our very nature.

I spend a great deal of time writing about the Nocti. Who we are, what we're about.
It's one of my favorite subjects :-)

What are the rules?
The Nocti are based on two rules which facilitate and encompass many goals and achievements. They are rules that go hand in hand and strengthen one another. "Recruit the Strong, Destroy the Weak."
By recruiting the strong you make yourself more able to destroy the weak. By destroying the weak you draw the interest of the strong and make yourself more able to recruit them. This is our creed.

Who leads the Nocti?
Rarely have I expounded on our power structure in more detail than: the strong will lead.
Who leads the Nocti? I do. You do. We all do. The Nocti don't seek personal power. It's not in our nature. We seek to strengthen the power of The Nocti as a whole rather than individually.
From the beginning when I first created what we know as The Nocti I have been it's "Head Psycho". I am one of the few people in such a position who can honestly claim to have never been challenged for my status. In some instances such as the first WoW Nocti and the CoV Nocti there have been Nocti who have gone before the rest of us. In these cases I have commissioned one of our veterans to lead that instance. Essentially speaking for the rest of us and without a doubt speaking for me. You'll find that even when I am visiting an instance of the Nocti, that the structure of leadership remains. The reason for this is that while I continue to lead, the person leading in my place generally knows more about the dynamics of that particular world and group than I do.

Who should I respect and listen to?
Everyone you see with a Nocti banner over their head. If they carry the name Sidus Noctis they have earned all of our respect. Particularly those of us with the Rank "Mentor" or "Regnatus Nox" these are officer ranks earned by veteran Nocti.

Why do some Nocti instances have a "Queen"
Hail to the Queen! I am a firm believer that while any group needs strong leadership it also needs a maternal leader as well. In four instances thus far I have asked a female member of the Nocti to serve as it's queen. Much like the Queen of England, the Nocti Queen is a figurehead and a moral role model. In some cases the Queen has also served as the leader of the Nocti in her instance.
